Pernem residents demand completion of incomplete grass cutting work

PERNEM: Residents of Pernem taluka have raised concerns over the incomplete work done by the Pernem Municipal Council (PMC) in clearing unwanted grass and weeds that have overtaken footpaths and the main road.

Locals are demanding immediate action to clear the road and ensure the work is completed on time. They complained that the recent cutting and cleaning of grass and weeds was left unfinished. They said that pedestrians were struggling to walk on the footpaths due to overgrown grass and weeds and have urged the PMC to promptly complete the work and restore safe pedestrian pathways.

A citizen told O Heraldo that elected councilors should look into these issues and ensure that the grass and weeds are cleaned since it was left incomplete while, another resident requested the ward councilor to ensure that the incomplete work. They pointed out that the overgrown grass and weeds along the main road were becoming an eyesore to the people and also to make the road visible to motorists.
