
A passenger’s mobile phone worth ₹15,000 was snatched from him in the early hours of April 20 while the Vasco-Yeshvantpur Express was halted at Sanvordem Railway Station. According to the victim's complaint, the incident occurred around 3:47 AM when an unknown individual snatched the phone from inside the coach and fled the scene.
The Vasco Railway Police Station has launched an investigation into the crime, with PSI Krishna Talpi leading the efforts. The case is being supervised by PI Amarnath Passi and guided by Mormugao DySP Gurudas Kadam.
The authorities are reviewing surveillance footage and speaking with witnesses to gather information about the suspect. While the motive behind the snatching remains unclear, police have assured the public that they are working diligently to apprehend the perpetrator.
