President of India, Droupadi Murmu, extended warm greetings to the people of Goa on the occasion of Statehood Day, celebrating the state's vibrant cultural legacy and global appeal.
In her message, President Murmu lauded Goa’s rich heritage, picturesque beaches, and the warm hospitality of its people, which continue to attract visitors from around the world. She called upon both residents and tourists to work together in preserving Goa’s unique identity by embracing sustainable tourism practices and supporting local communities.
“May the state of Goa continue to thrive and contribute meaningfully to the vision of Viksit Bharat,” the President said, wishing prosperity and progress for the state and its people.
Goa celebrates its Statehood Day on May 30, marking its transformation into a full-fledged state in 1987.
