RAIA: In the annual All-Goa Crib Competition organised by the Good Shepherd Organisation, Richard Caldero from Verna clinched the first prize for his exceptional display. The competition, which saw wide participation from across the state, was held with much enthusiasm in Fatorda.
Ladislau Roncon from Campal, Panjim, secured the second prize for his well-crafted crib, while the third prize was shared by Castle United of Verna and Abeelina Oliveira from Raia for their impressive entries.
The event was graced by Fr Joe Rodrigues, Parish Priest of Our Lady of Grace Church in Margao, who was the chief guest for the occasion. He presented the prizes to the winners and runners-up, acknowledging the creativity and effort that went into each display.
The ceremony was attended by several dignitaries, including Joaquim Fernandes and Fr Franky Fernandes. The judging panel comprised Roy Noronha, Necissade and L Gomes.
This annual competition is a highlight of the Christmas season in Goa, celebrating both tradition and artistic skill through the intricate and beautifully designed cribs displayed by participants across the state.
