A rickshaw was engulfed in flames near the DMC College slope in Khorlim around 1:00 PM on Monday, triggering panic among passersby. Fortunately, the situation was swiftly brought under control by fire personnel from Mapusa.
Eyewitnesses reported seeing thick smoke and flames emerging from the rickshaw, following which an emergency call was placed. Firefighters arrived promptly at the scene and doused the fire before it could spread or cause further damage.
No injuries were reported in the incident. Authorities are investigating the cause of the fire, which is suspected to have been triggered by a mechanical or electrical fault.
