Both roll-on/roll-off (RoRo) ferries commissioned by the River Navigation Department (RND) have been released into the Zuari River for trial runs, marking a key step toward improving inter-river connectivity in Goa.
The vessels, aimed at reducing road congestion and offering a faster transport alternative, are currently undergoing final-stage trials and technical adjustments before their official commissioning. Once operational, the RoRo service is expected to streamline the movement of vehicles and passengers across the river, easing traffic pressure on existing road infrastructure.
