Man Booked for Attempting Entry into Dabolim Airport with Forged Flight Tickets

A 29-year-old man from Sancoale has been booked by police for attempting to enter Goa's Dabolim International Airport using forged flight tickets for Air India and Qatar Airways. The incident came to light when the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) flagged the suspicious tickets during a routine security check.

Upon verification with the concerned airlines, it was confirmed that both tickets were fake. The man was immediately detained for questioning and later handed over to local police for further investigation.

During initial questioning, the accused claimed that he had received the tickets from a third-party travel agency, which he alleges had provided forged documents without his knowledge. Authorities are now probing the legitimacy of the agency in question.

A case has been registered, and the individual may face charges under sections related to forgery, cheating, and attempting unauthorised access to a restricted area.

Airport authorities have reiterated their warning to passengers to book tickets only through verified and official channels to avoid such incidents.
