Inacio Domnic Pereira, an opposition panch member of Santa Cruz village, has filed a formal complaint with the Anti-Corruption Branch (ACB) of Goa Police, alleging large-scale financial irregularities in the panchayat’s garbage collection process.

Pereira has accused the Santa Cruz Panchayat and other associated parties of siphoning off lakhs of rupees by manipulating the garbage collection mechanism to misappropriate public funds.

The complaint has been submitted at the ACB office in Altinho, and Pereira now awaits the registration of an FIR, urging authorities to initiate a formal probe at the earliest.

He has called for transparency and accountability in the handling of public funds, and demanded swift action against those responsible if the allegations are proven true.

Locals are closely watching the development, as the case could potentially expose deeper irregularities in local governance.
