A hit-and-run incident was reported late Monday night near the Chandor Club around 11:25 p.m., where a car coming from Curchorem struck a scooter and fled the scene without stopping.
Emergency services were promptly alerted, and a 108 ambulance reached the spot soon after. The injured scooter rider was rushed to the Margao Hospital for treatment.
Police also arrived at the location and have begun an investigation. Efforts are underway to identify and trace the vehicle involved in the incident. Locals are urging authorities to install surveillance cameras and improve road safety in the area.
