In a shocking case of alleged deliberate assault, a security guard was seriously injured after being crushed by a Maharashtra-registered vehicle in Vagator. The incident took place following a confrontation involving the guard and the accused, identified as Sujan from Pune.
According to the FIR filed by the victim’s wife, the altercation began when Sujan allegedly verbally abused the couple during an argument. The situation quickly escalated when Sujan reportedly got into his vehicle and reversed it with force, pinning the security guard against a compound wall.
The injured victim was immediately rushed to the hospital, where he is currently undergoing treatment for serious injuries. Medical staff have confirmed that the victim is in a stable but critical condition.
Following the complaint, the Goa Police arrested Sujan, and have launched a detailed investigation to determine the exact motive and circumstances surrounding the incident. Police sources said that charges of attempted murder are likely to be pressed, given the apparent intent behind the act.
The incident has sparked outrage in the local community, with residents and security personnel demanding stricter action against those who endanger frontline workers. Authorities have assured that justice will be served and that all evidence, including CCTV footage and eyewitness accounts, is being reviewed as part of the ongoing probe.
