VASCO: A senior citizen died after he was gored by a stray bull at Upasnagar-Zaurinagar, Sancoale.
The police gave the name of the victim as Mahadeo Deshmukh, 62, a resident of Upasnagar, Housing Board colony, Zuarinagar. The tragedy occurred on Saturday when Deshmukh was proceeding on his bike to drop off his daughter at the Birla cross junction.
"When they reached the petrol pump, on the national highway 566, all of a sudden, a bull came in front of their two-wheeler and attacked Deshmukh due to which he sustained serious injuries," said police.
He was shifted to the Goa Medical College and Hospital (GMC), Bambolim by 108 ambulance wherein he was declared brought dead. The Verna police conducted the panchanama and have registered an unnatural death under Section 194 of BNSS. PSI Rajdatt Arsekar is conducting investigations under the guidance of Verna PI Melson Colaco.
