PANJIM: Health Minister Vishwajit Rane on Saturday opined that if before the 2027 Assembly elections the South Goa District Hospital, Margao is not made into a tertiary hospital, it will be considered a failure of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government and his personal failure too.

Speaking to mediapersons on various issues at the South Goa District Hospital at his Miramar office, Rane said, “We will also propose to the government the upgrade of the hospital to a tertiary care facility and ensure more services are provided. With around 1,600 daily patient visits, it is imperative that the people of South Goa receive the best healthcare.”
