South Goa Superintendent of Police Tikam Singh Verma, who has initiated several cases against drug trafficking and prostitution since taking charge, is drawing public praise for his proactive policing.
Local resident Mahesh Nayak lauded the officer’s efforts, stating, “Such officers should be praised, instead they are transferred.” He further criticized the government, claiming that narcotics have spread across villages and even schools, while officers committed to curbing the menace are being moved out.
Verma’s tenure has been marked by intensified crackdowns on narcotics and illicit activities, which many locals see as a much-needed step to address the growing drug problem in Goa.
