St Ana Feast Novenas Begin in Solva, Raia in Goa with Traditional Devotion and Community Participation

The deeply cherished Feast of St. Ana has officially begun in Solva with the first Novena Mass celebrated by Fr. Michael on Friday, May 9. The event marks the beginning of a week-long spiritual journey that brings together the local community of Solvencars in devotion and prayer.

This traditional feast, held annually, includes daily Novena services, children's masses, and culminates in a grand Feast Day celebration. The first day began with Ters at 7:00 am, followed by Maddi, and then the Novena Mass at 7:30 am, drawing faithful from across the region.

Schedule of Novena Services:

  • Saturday and Monday to Friday (May 10, 13–16):
    Ters begins at 7:15 am, followed by Mass.

  • Sunday, May 11:
    Ters at 7:45 am, followed by Mass at 8:00 am.

  • Thursday, May 15 – Children's Mass:
    A special day dedicated to the children of the community. Families and young ones are warmly invited to participate in this joyful celebration.

  • Saturday, May 17 – Vespers:
    Evening Vespers will be held at 6:30 pm, marking a spiritual preparation for the feast.

  • Sunday, May 18 – Feast Day:
    The grand Feast Day Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 am, bringing the Novena celebrations to a close with heartfelt devotion and community unity.
