KAG’s Panchasheel English High School Students Pay Artistic Tribute to Goddess Lairai

Celebrating the spirit of the Shirgao Jatra, students of KAG’s Panchasheel English High School, Bori, showcased their creativity and devotion by painting a beautiful portrait of Devi Lairai Mata using entirely natural substances.

In a thoughtful and eco-friendly initiative, the students used materials such as soil, turmeric, coffee powder, sandalwood, rose petals, leaves, lamp soot, and rice to bring the portrait to life. Each element was carefully selected to reflect various shades and textures, demonstrating both artistic skill and reverence for tradition.

The artwork not only honored the cultural significance of the festival but also emphasized the importance of sustainable practices and using natural resources in creative expression.

The effort received appreciation from teachers, locals, and festival visitors, serving as a unique and respectful tribute to the beloved Goddess Lairai during one of Goa's most vibrant and spiritual celebrations.
