In a swift act of vigilance, residents of Shigaon apprehended three individuals allegedly caught red-handed while stealing electricity cables belonging to the electricity department.
The suspects, all hailing from Betoda, were detained by the villagers during the attempted theft and immediately handed over to the Collem Police for further action.
Authorities have registered a case, and investigations are underway to determine if the trio is linked to other similar incidents in the area.
