CALANGUTE: SP (North) Akshat Kaushal, along with other senior Goa police officers including Porvorim SDPO Vishwesh Karpe and PI Rahul Parab conducted patrolling in Calangute, Baga and Tito's lane over the weekend, during which six touts were nabbed and taken into custody for further legal action.
“Strong police presence and patrolling was continued and maintained in Calangute police station jurisdiction. In view of the recent incidents, strict security arrangements have been made in coastal areas,” police said.
Calangute traffic cell also booked 35 persons for various violations of the Motor Vehicles Act at Tito's lane junction on Saturday night,” Calangute police said.
