PANJIM: The Traffic Cell of Goa Police along with officials of Public Works Department (PWD) on Wednesday held a joint inspection of National Highway 66 at Porvorim, in view of traffic congestion caused due to the ongoing works of the elevated corridor.
Taking to microblogging site X (formerly Twitter), the Traffic Cell said the contractor has been instructed to resurface the road properly.
"A joint inspection of NH 66 at Porvorim along with PWD officials and contractor of Elevated Corridor on NH 66 at Porvorim was held today to identify critical issues impacting traffic flow and overall condition of road in the area and to discuss actionable plans for road improvements. The contractor was instructed to resurface the road properly, filling up of potholes, erection of signages with reflective material, to provide access to pedestrians to safely cross roads, etc. The contractor has assured that the above measures will be undertaken immediately to provide relief to the commuters," the Traffic Cell said.
