Vehicular movement on the Dhavali Bypass Road near Uma Hotel came to a halt late last night after a massive tree collapsed, blocking the road.
Traffic remained disrupted for over 20 minutes before the Fire Force rushed to the site and cleared the obstruction, ensuring smooth flow of vehicles was restored.
No injuries or major damage were reported in the incident. However, commuters faced inconvenience during the period of disruption.
Local residents have urged authorities to carry out regular checks and trimming of roadside trees to prevent similar incidents, especially during the monsoon season.
