PANJIM: Marking a historic moment in Goa’s medical education landscape, Travco Education has accomplished an extraordinary milestone by helping over 100 Goan students secure MBBS admissions this year.

This unprecedented achievement is a testament to Travco’s mission to provide aspiring Goan doctors with global opportunities, regardless of financial barriers or competition. The pre-departure orientation, held at ‘The Venue’, opposite Ravindra Bhavan, Margao, celebrated this remarkable milestone, with students, their parents, and Fatorda MLA Vijai Sardesai, states a press release.

Dr Dorothy de Albuquerque, Managing Director of Travco Education, in her welcome address, expressed the collective pride Travco felt in sending such a large and motivated group of students abroad to pursue their dreams of becoming doctors.

Jaden Gomindes, Director of Travco Education, shared a deep personal story of how Travco was born out of his passion to help aspiring medical students and recounted how growing up in a family of doctors inspired him to contribute to the field in his own unique way, giving students the chance to pursue their dreams despite the challenges they may face.

He emphasised, “This moment represents the culmination of your hard work and determination. You are about to begin a new chapter that will shape not only your future but also the future of Goa’s medical landscape.”

Chief guest Vijai Sardesai, a strong advocate for the Goan community, praised Travco for being a catalyst of change.

He commended the organisation for giving over 100 students the opportunity to pursue their dreams of becoming doctors, remarking on the potential Goa holds in improving its healthcare sector.

He said, “Travco has opened doors that will not only change the lives of these students but also positively impact Goa's medical landscape. I believe this initiative will create a brighter future for healthcare in our State.”

Bruno Gomindes, Founder of Travco Education, thanked Sardesai for his words of inspiration.

He addressed the students directly, not only as future doctors, but as ambassadors for Goa’s medical community. “You are the face of the future, not just for yourselves but for the entire Goan medical community. Your success will inspire others to follow in your footsteps,” Bruno remarked.
