The ferryboat that had partially sunk at the Chorao jetty has been successfully refloated around 10:15 am on Friday.
Officials confirmed that the vessel will now be towed to the River Navigation Department (RND) workshop in Betim for repairs and a detailed assessment of the damage.
The incident had temporarily disrupted ferry services in the area. Authorities have assured that safety checks will be conducted before the vessel is returned to operation.
