A tragic incident at Secunderabad Railway Station claimed the life of 28-year-old Urakonda Sai from Warangal, who was en route to Goa for his honeymoon with his wife, relatives, and friends. The joyful journey took a heartbreaking turn when Sai died while attempting to board a moving train.

According to eyewitnesses, the group was set to travel on the Vasco-da-Gama Express. Due to a delay, Sai stepped off the train to buy a water bottle. Moments later, the train began moving. His friends pulled the emergency chain to halt the train and help him reboard. However, Railway Police intervened and detained two of Sai’s companions for misusing the emergency chain, insisting they disembark and pay a fine.

Despite the group’s pleas and willingness to pay the penalty, the situation delayed Sai’s attempt to rejoin the train. Meanwhile, his wife and brother-in-law remained onboard. As the train started moving again, a panicked Sai ran alongside, trying to jump back on. He slipped in the process and was crushed between the train and platform.

He was rushed to a private hospital with severe injuries but died during treatment. Sai had been married just three months and was eagerly looking forward to his honeymoon. His sudden death has devastated his family and community.

His relatives have blamed the Railway Police, alleging that their actions and the delay they caused contributed directly to Sai’s death. They are demanding a full investigation and accountability from authorities.

So far, officials have not released a formal statement. However, the incident has sparked public outrage, raising concerns about railway safety protocols and the urgent need for compassionate, prompt handling of emergencies at stations.
