Ward No. 8 Councillor Shraddha Amonkar has launched a beautification drive at a notorious garbage hotspot in Baina. As part of the project, the area has been cleaned, and paver blocks will be laid to enhance its appearance.
Despite regular cleaning efforts, locals and passersby continued to litter the site, prompting the installation of CCTV cameras to monitor and deter such activities.
Councillor Amonkar urged citizens to maintain cleanliness, warning that anyone caught littering will face fines. “Please don’t throw garbage—every time we clean, it becomes dirty again,” she said, emphasizing the need for collective responsibility in keeping the area clean.
