Fatorda MLA Vijai Sardesai has vowed to strongly represent the voice of the people of Goa during the ongoing Monsoon Assembly Session, stating that while the government has presented its side, the public's concerns are broader and require attention.
“The material becomes a little more when presenting the people's side, but I will present it — loudly and clearly — for the sake of Goemkars,” Sardesai said. He stressed that the government and the Speaker must give the Opposition a fair chance to raise important issues in the House.
Sardesai also revealed that he has received several public grievances and queries through his ‘Janata Darbar’ outreach initiative, which he has formally submitted for discussion during the session.
“The issues that we are supposed to raise should not be suppressed. They are real concerns from the ground. I’ve put them forth because the people expect answers,” he added.
The MLA’s comments underscore the Opposition’s intent to ensure that citizen-centric concerns remain central to the Assembly's discourse, especially amid pressing socio-economic and infrastructural issues.
