The Goa government has amended the Ladli Laxmi Scheme, adding a new eligibility requirement for applicants. Under the revised rules, women must now submit their applications within one year of their Civil Marriage Registration. Applications filed after this deadline will be outrightly rejected.
The scheme, designed to empower women through financial support, provides a one-time assistance of INR 1 lakh to eligible beneficiaries. It is open to married women aged 18 to 45 years, provided they meet all prescribed conditions.
According to the government, the amendment is intended to streamline and expedite the application process, ensuring timely disbursal of benefits to deserving applicants.
