Government Directive Halts Disconnection of Internet and TV Cables, Officials Respond
Published on

In compliance with government directives, authorities have been instructed to halt any actions related to the cutting, dismantling, or disconnection of cables providing internet and TV services until further notice. This decision has left officials grappling with the practical implications of the order.

Reacting to the directive, EE Kashinath Shetye expressed frustration, stating, "We cannot even remove an old pole because of this order." Despite the challenges posed by the directive, Shetye emphasized that the government’s instructions must be followed. "I cannot speak about the government, whatever the order is, we have to follow it," he added, underlining the need for compliance despite operational difficulties.

This move has raised questions about its impact on ongoing infrastructure work and the maintenance of essential services, with both officials and residents closely monitoring the situation for further developments.
