PANJIM: The Aam Admi Party has pointed out that 24 departments have spent only 30% of their budget for the 2024-25 financial year. “They promised us Mount Everest but gave us Moti Dongor,” AAP MLA Venzy Viegas said. They have no intention to develop Goa.

AAP said they would approach IAS officer and ask they how they will allow a 2 day session and still solve the problems of their department.

They also pointed out that most of the road tender files have not been cleared.

There has been a overall decline in tourism. There is complete breakdown of law and order, assault on the environment and harassment of local businesses by the Revenue department, AAP President Amit Palekar said. There is extortion in the name of policing and administration. Tourists too are being fleeced, he said.

Aam Admi Party has demanded a 15 day Budget Session of Goa Assembly, as opposed to the two day session which they said was proposed by the Government. They said they would write to all the IAS officers to demand from the government that a 15 day session is necessary for discussing all issues pertaining to their departments.

AAP also said that a 2 day session is an attempt to shut the voices of the people. They also hit out at policing and Goa becoming a drug destination. They alleged that revenue officials were harassing Goan businessmen and indulging in extortion.

AAP declared that many issues have to be discussed including the dangerous condition of roads, the fall standards of education, especially the Goa University, who ranking has fallen drastically. They also said that there is need to study the grave assault on the environment.
