Gujarat-Goa-Kerala express train from April 13

MARGAO: Konkan Railway Corporation in coordination with Western Railway will start a new special express train service from Bhavnagar, Gujarat to Kochuveli, Kerala from April 13.

The fully reserved service will have separate schedules for the monsoon and non-monsoon seasons. The new special express train will leave Bhavnagar at 10.05 am every Tuesday to reach Kochuveli at 4 am on the third day. This service will operate every Tuesday up to June 8, during the non-monsoon season.

On the return journey, the train will leave Kochuveli, at 3.45 pm every Thursday from April 15 to June 3, to reach Bhavnagar at 12.25 noon on the third day during the non-monsoon season.

During the monsoon, the train will leave from Bhavnagar at 10.05 am every Tuesday from June 15 to reach Kochuveli, at 7.10 am on the third day. On the return journey, the train will leave Kochuveli, at 3.45 pm every Thursday from June 10, to reach Bhavnagar at 12.25 noon on the third day.

The Kochuveli to Bhavnagar train will halt at Kollam, Kayankulam, Chengannur, Tiruvalla, Kottayam, Ernakulam Town, Aluva, Thrisur, Shoranur Junction, Tirur, Kozhikkode, Tellicherry, Kannur, Kasaragod, Mangaluru Junction, Udupi, Mookambika Road Byndoor, Kumta, Karwar, Margao Junction, Tivim, Sindhudurg, Ratnagiri, Chiplun, Roha, Panvel, Vasai Road, Surat, Ankleshwar Junction, Vadodara Junction, Anand Junction, Nadiad Junction, Ahmedabad Junction, Joravarnagar, Botad Junction, Dhola Junction and Sihor stations.

The Bhavnagar to Kochuveli besides stopping at all the above mentioned stations will also halt at Payyanur and Vadakara stations.

These trains will have 23 coaches of one coach will be 2 Tier AC, five coaches will be 3 Tier AC, 10 coaches will be Sleeper coaches while four coaches will be second class seating. In addition, it will have a Pantry Car and two generator vans.
