MARGAO: In a very firm negation of any alliance in the 2027 Goa Assembly elections, AAP has asserted that the party has declared that AAP will contest the 2027 Goa Assembly Elections on their own. It will also contest the the ZIlla Parishad and the municipality elections alone, Delhi Opposition Leader and AAP Member Atishi
"AAP is preparing to contest on its own. We will contest the ZP elections on our own, as also the municipal elections. Even for the Assembly elections AAP is preparing to contest on its own, AAP leader Atishi told Herald Media in an exclusive interview in Colva, on Monday.
As if there was any possibility of seat sharing or pre-poll alliance, Atishi reiterated, "AAP will contest on its own. What does alliance with the Congress mean? Last election they won 11 seats, 8 of the MLAs joined the BJP. How can we trust the Congress?" Atishi questioned.
"People are talking of coming together of like minded parties. Who are you like minded with? Eighty percent of your MLAs leave and this is happening for the second time," Atishi pointed out.
Questioned about the talk among local AAP leaders about the contesting the 2027 Goa Assembly elections in alliance with Congress, Atish against asserted, "AAP will be contesting on its own."
