PANJIM: The Aam Admi Party (AAP) has yet again come down heavily on the BJP and Congress after two Congress leaders switching their loyalty to the BJP and more political developments expected to follow in the coming days.

AAP has cautioned the people of Goa to not get repeatedly fooled into believing the two national parties and allies in the government and partners.  AAP Convenor Elvis Gomes addressing a press conference equated these parties to Hop On Hop Off buses and gave a clarion call to the people to wipe off the Congress, BJP with their ally parties through the ballot. “In the last two years, all that the Goan common man has got from the government is formalin through fish and from the Opposition insults of being toilet cleaners. Goa is now ruled by pimps and they were out to sell the last remnants of Goa to anyone with money.  I appeal to leading movements like Goycho Avaz to step forward and awaken the consciousness of every Goan to vote with their hand on their heart and never again get swayed by narrow considerations of money, cheap liquor and goodies,” he said. 

NGOs like Goa revolutionary front, United Goans foundation and others must realise that they need to come clear of their personal prejudices and unite, he urged. 

“The BJP is contaminated and it is no more the BJP that they believe it is. So think of the future of Goa first and help in bringing in a revolutionary change in Goan politics like AAP has done in Delhi." said Gomes. 

AAP General Secretary Pradeep Padgaonkar said he wonders whether Goa is witnessing a tiatr, Carnival, Shigmo or satta bazaar in the wake of the prevailing crisis in the political circle. He alleged that Subhash Shirodkar, who along with Dayanand Sopte joined the BJP on Tuesday was a known habitual defector who was trapped by acquiring his orchard land of nearly 2 lakhs square metres at a whopping cost of Rs 70 crores without requirement of such land for any public use.
