Deputy Speaker Joshua has raised concerns regarding the frequent disappearance of files at the municipality, where staff often claim the documents are missing. He has called for a CBI inquiry to address the matter, though he stated he does not have any doubts about individuals involved.
Joshua mentioned being informed that an external person has been accessing the files at the municipality, which further complicates the issue. Interestingly, he pointed out that files declared as missing by staff often appear on the desk when he personally requests them, which raises questions about the handling of municipal records.
Joshua confirmed that he has the full support of the chief officer, municipal engineer, and the entire council, including the chairperson, in undertaking an inquiry to resolve the issue of missing files. In addition to the investigation into missing documents, an inquiry into the attendance records of workers who are often absent but still receive monthly salaries has also been initiated.
Furthermore, Joshua clarified that he is not involved in any land-related matters beyond his personal property. He firmly denied any involvement in land scams and welcomed a CBI inquiry into the matter if anyone suspects his participation in such activities. The investigations aim to ensure transparency and accountability in the municipality.
