Kala Rakhonn Manch demands white paper on Kala Academy renovation from CM

PORVORIM: Kala Rakhonn Manch has demanded a white paper regarding the renovation on Kala Academy and an investigation into the works and expenditure under a retired judge. The Manch met Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Monday.

CM agreed to announce a committee of artistes and citizens to look into the renovation by Friday. He also said that he had already received a report from GSIDC and a report has been commissioned from the IIT. CM said the work done is of Rs 70 crores and no more money will be spent, but sub-standard work will be made good by the contractor itself.
