High-Value Drug Bust Near Chivar Football Ground Amid Ongoing Crackdown

In a significant anti-narcotics operation, Anjuna Police arrested a Mumbai-based drug peddler and seized LSD valued at ₹2.2 lakh during a raid near the Chivar football ground in Vagator.

The accused, identified as 39-year-old, a resident of Candolim and originally from Kandivali (East), Mumbai, was found in possession of multiple LSD papers. The raid was part of a focused crackdown on narcotics in the coastal belt, which has become a hotspot for drug-related activities.

Police officials confirmed that the operation was meticulously planned, and further investigations are underway to trace the source and potential network linked to the accused. The accused has been remanded to five days of police custody.
