MARGAO: With the two domestic maids accused of theft still on the run, there has been no breakthrough in the case investigated by the Maina-Curtorim Police.
Sources said that the two accused are sisters and were residing in a rented room at Curtorim.
The police have registered an offence against the two for allegedly stealing Rs 70,000 in cash from their employer's house at Maina.
In her complaint, Maria Sequeira, the employer, also alleged that the maid, known only as Geeta, threatened her, prompting the police to register an offence under Sections 381 and 506 (ii) of the IPC.
Maina-Curtorim Police have sent wireless messages to all the police stations across the State and neighbouring States.
