PERNEM: The surfacing of potholes on the newly constructed road leading to the main gate of the Manohar International Airport at Mopa, has inconvenienced motorists and visitors. In certain places, the road has been washed off with the rains.
The Greenfield Manohar International Airport began its operations from January and is being run by a company and the road was barely constructed a year ago.
The road from the main gate that leads towards the airport has been speaking volumes of the substandard material used for its construction.
“There are many difficulties faced by the visitors at the airport. There are no facilities for the visitors as well as the taxi drivers here. The company officials were informed about the potholes many times but they have simply ignored the matter,” said a driver on condition of anonymity.
“Unfortunately the Mopa Airport road which was supposed to enhance connectivity, now faces at piquant situation at the entrance,” said some taxi drivers and have demanded that it be repaired immediately as it sends bad signs to visitors to the State.
