Major Cocaine Bust in Goa: Crime Branch Seizes 4.3 Kilograms of Cocaine Worth Rs. 43 Crore

In a significant operation, the Crime Branch of Goa, led by Police Inspector Laxi G. Amonkar, successfully conducted a narcotic raid near the Chicolna bus stand, located in Chicolna, Mormugao, Goa. The operation, carried out by a dedicated team of officers including PI Prashal Dessai, PC Samiulla Makandar, PC Navin P. Palyenkar, PC Sujay Naik, and others, resulted in the arrest of 45-year-old Nibu Vincent, a resident of Sea View Apartment in Vasco Da Gama, Goa.

The team caught Vincent red-handed, in possession of 4.325 kilograms of a white powdery substance, suspected to be cocaine. The estimated value of the confiscated drugs is a staggering Rs. 43.2 crore. Along with the narcotics, a blue Vivo mobile phone was also seized for investigation purposes.

Following the arrest, Vincent disclosed additional information leading to the identification of another individual involved in the operation. The second accused, Reshma Wadekar, is a resident of Harbour Road, Sada, Mormugao, and further inquiries are underway.

This narcotics seizure highlights the continued efforts of the Goa Crime Branch to combat illegal drug trafficking in the region, making a significant impact on the fight against the drug trade in the state.
