Motorcyclist killed in accident

PERNEM: A motorcyclist Sameer Shripad Piranhas, aged 25, a resident of Takwadi, Dodamarg was crushed to death after his vehicle came under the wheels of a KTC bus on the NH-17 at Dhargal, Pernem.

According to the Pernem police, Sameer was travelling to Anjuna on his motorcycle when he came under the wheels of a KTC bus heading towards Pernem, at around 8.30 am. The bus was reportedly on the wrong side of the road. The motorcyclist died on the spot.

After the panchanama, police sent the body to GMC at Bambolim for post-mortem.

The Pernem police have arrested the KTC bus driver Santosh Chandrakant Naik, aged 53, a resident of Khandola, Marcela.
