Book fair and lectures at IMB

PANJIM: National Book Week and Luis de Menezes Braganza lecture series will be organised by the Institute Menezes Braganza (IMB) at its premises this November. The lecture series will be held from Nov 22 to 24 and will be inaugurated by Governor, Bharat Vir Wanchoo on November 22, at 5 pm in the presence of Minister for Art & Culture Dayanand Mandrekar.

The national book exhibition will be inaugurated on Nov 18, at 4.30 pm by Kavita Mahajan and will be on till Nov 24, from 10 am to 8 pm where various publishers and sellers have been invited. 

Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar, Dr Arun Heblekar, Sushila Mendes, Madhav Kamat and others will speak. 

The National Book Week will be concluded by CM. Ex members will be felicitated.  

Apart from books exhibition various programmes will be organised. Inauguration of the exhibition will be on Nov 18 where the chief guest will be Health Minister Laximikant Parsekar. On Nov 19, Lekhak Anni Lekhan Vyavahar Ek Kutuhul will be held at 4.30 pm and the participants will be Kavita Mahajan, Vishram Gupte, Hema Nayak and Ramita Gurav. An all Goa inter high school reading competition will start at 3 pm on Nov 20. Swaranubhav Gomantak, a light music programme will be dedicated to Goan poets at 4.30 pm on Nov 21.

The lecture series will be from Nov 22 to 24 from 4.30 pm to 6.30 pm. On the Foundation Day of Institute Menezes Braganza Hall,  half bust of Luis de Menezes Braganaza will be installed by CM on Nov 24.
