BELGAUM: Denouncing Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar’s decision to ban him as unconstitutional, Sri Ram Sene supremo Pramod Muthalik has decided to challenge the decision in court and has also threatened to pull down Parrikar from power.
Stating that he would write to RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat about the situation, Muthalik has also rebuked Parrikar for having turned the Bharatiya Janata Party into the “Bharatiya Jesus Party” at the influence of the Christians.
Speaking exclusively to Herald, in Belgaum, Muthalik said, “The move (by Parrikar) is unconstitutional and we will go to the court to seek justice. I am not aware if the Goa government has banned me or the Sri Ram Sene. Parrikar is not managing Bharatiya Janata Party, but under the influence of Christians, he is turning it into a Bharatiya Jesus Party.”
“If Parrikar claims to be a Hindutva-wadi, how can he ban a person like me, who has devoted his life to conserve Hindu culture?”
“I will write to the RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat about Parrikar’s action. Hum in sub ko sabak sikhayenge aur Parrikar ko satta se neeche kheenchenge (We will teach them all a lesson and will pull down Parrikar from power),” warned Muthalik.
The SRS chief also sought to know why the Goa government had decided to ban the SRS, when other evils were allowed to flourish in the State.
“Let him ban the drug mafia, pub mafia and the sex mafia which is rampant in Goa. When the Nigerians can come to Goa, Portuguese ships can come to Goa, Talibanese can come to Goa and Russian mafia can come to Goa, how can he ban the entry of a patriot like me? Besides, how can they ban me when there is no criminal case against me,” asked Muthalik.
“Congress-ruled states like Maharashtra, Karnataka and Kerala have not banned the SRS. However, it is shameful that the chief minister of a BJP-ruled State is banning my entry,” he added.
