Tourism officials not amused

PANJIM, SEPT 21
India's only cartoon porn star Savita Bhabhi has come to Goa, but the state government is not happy.
Banned by the Indian government, the ‘Savita Bhabhi’web cartoons show the adventures of the sari-clad seductress Savita, who is the first face of Indian porn art.
The latest edition of the ‘Savita Bhabhi’ cartoons has the much-married but serially unfaithful protagonist visiting a Goa beach resort with female friends, but ending up in a series of sexual encounters with resort owners, masseurs and others.
But, reports the Indo-Asian News Service (IANS), the state Tourism Department is not at all pleased with the 29-year-old Savita Bhabhi's visit to Goa. “We will have to go after these sites… We will examine legal options to go after the people who are behind this,” said Managing Director of the Goa Tourism Development Corporation (GTDC) Nikhil Desai, who is doing his utmost to ensure that Goa puts its best foot forward for the International Tourism Mart (ITM) it is hosting next month.
The original website displaying the cartoons was banned by the Indian government for promoting pornography, though the ban was later overturned in court. Savita Patel, the protagonist, looks like a regular Indian woman, but is trapped in a loveless marriage and is always open to new sexual experiences. The series describes her various sexual exploits.
The three-part Savita Bhabhi's Goa adventures is available on the website for a price, and each part carries a provocative strap line. 'Beautiful beaches, sexy swimsuits, one hot bhabhi' says the first, while the third says: ‘What happens when two hot girls fight for one lucky guy?’
But, says Desai, these vulgar projections of Goa won't dent its image much, as: “People who visit these sites are perverts. People who want a clean holiday will not go by these websites.”
Superintendent of Police (Special Branch) Atmaram Deshpande says the police cyber cell is being created to go after such websites.
“We are keeping track of such websites, but most of them are operated from abroad,” he says. The ‘Savita Bhabhi’ website is based in Brooklyn, New York.
