Mapusa: Almost every village in the state today is linked by Kadamba buses; however, the Anjuna-Vagator panchayat, which is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the country, is an exception. Around 35 years ago, a KTC bus used to run on the Mapusa-Anjuna route but due to unknown reasons, the service has been stopped permanently. The locals from Anjuna-Kaisuv, especially students, have to rely on private buses which are irregular.
The demand to re-start KTCL service on this route has been constantly made but the panchayat never made any efforts, claimed locals.
