PERNEM: Three panchas of Casarvarnem Village Panchayat have tabled a notice of no-confidence motion against Sarpanch Suvarna Keni.
In their notice submitted to the Pernem Block Development Officer (BDO), the three signatories have stated that the sarpanch is not taking panchayat members into confidence, misusing her power and unable to undertake development works.
The notice has been signed by Shyamsundar Naik, Ramesh Palekar and Karishma Warang.
A special meeting of the panchayat body has been convened on November 1, to discuss the no-confidence notice.
The Casarvarnem Village Panchayat consists of five ward members.
