MARGAO: A cross-section of society including the political parties, citizens and NGOs who work for women empowerment and safety, have expressed disgust over the shooting of a soft porn video at Chapoli Dam in Canacona.
An actress has been in the news after shooting the video and uploading the same on social media platforms. A complaint has been filed at the Canacona police station for her act and the obscene content
Opposition Leader Digambar Kamat said the viral porn video circulated on social media raises serious questions on the security of highly-sensitive places like dams etc where any sabotage can cause a huge disaster. "How a video shooting can take place in daylight with all authorities remaining clueless?" questioned Kamat, while demanding for an immediate fast-track investigation regarding who allowed the shoot and whether permissions were granted.
Goa Congress President Girish Chodankar, said that Goa has been put to shame once again by the BJP Government with the vulgar video. "We demand that Chief Minister Pramod Sawan timmediately investigates this , failing which Congress will come on roads to protect the dignity and self-respect of women" he demanded.
Goa Forward Party (GFP) also called on the government to investigate the shooting of the video. "Canacona is a cultural hub of Goa. And a video of a porn actress, going nude at Chapoli Dam surfaces. The Goa government is becoming Atmanirbhar and Swayampurna in these sectors" said Prashant Naik of GFP.
The Goa Women's Forward President Ashma Sayed added that Goa Chief Minister is turning the state into porn destination.
NGO Bailancho Ekvott (BE) demanded that the govt books the actress, the cast, crew and anyone who granted permission to film such nude, semi-nude, and pornographic pictures videos. "Goa's image is shamed by this, most insensitive display of vulgarity that too on our scenic Chapoli Dam, in broad daylight. We demand that an FIR under Sec 292, 293 be filed against all those who formed a part of the model crew, cast, and the granters of permission for this nude, semi-nude, and pornographic shoot" said BE convenor Auda Viegas.
