PANJIM: Panjim Police have arrested three shop burglars within four hours of receiving information about the crime. The accused were tracked to the bus to Kolhapur on which they were travelling and with the help of Kolhapur police, they were arrested and brought back to Goa. The accused are Mustakeen from Ghaziabad, Mohammad Hamed Musahid from Meerut and Mohammad Chote all of Uttar Pradesh. The accused were arrested with the help of Smart City cameras. The notorious trio were involved in four shop breaking crimes. All the thefts were committed in Panjim.

In the first crime, the accused broke into “W for Woman” store, at Ribeiro Building Panjim by bending the shutter and toughened glass and stole Rs 11,000 from the store,

In the second theft, the trio effected entry into “Mansur Enterprises” situated near Café Tato’s, Panjim, by bending the shutter and stole cash of around Rs 1.50 lakh.

In the third theft, the trio effected entry into “Aaradhya Wine Stores”, Casa Paradiso Building,  Near Old Secretariat, Panjim, by bending the shutter and stole cash of around Rs 3470/- and one mobile phone worth Rs 10,000

In the fourth theft, the accused effected entry into “Casa Barreto”, a wine shop, by bending the shutter and stole cash of around Rs 5000.

All the thefts were committed on the intervening night of 9th and 10th April .
