PANJIM: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Friday launched Pink Force Cell of Goa Police dedicated at prevention and detection of crimes against women and children in the State at a function held at Miramar Circle.
Speaking on the occasion, Sawant said that the specially trained Pink Force comprising of women police officials will be deployed 24x7 at 11 coastal police stations in Goa in the first phase. Over a period of time every police station will have dedicated Pink Force personnel he added.
Deputy Chief Minister Babu Kavalekar, Panjim MLA Babush Monserrate, Director General of Police (DGP) I D Shukla and other police officials were present at the occasion.
