PANJIM: Saligao police have arrested two tourists namely Faiz and Arkan Shaikh, both hailing from Nashik, Maharashtra for allegedly assaulting a local car driver. After the video which went viral on social media, a complaint was registered at Saligao police station. An FIR was registered, and both accused were placed under arrest.
Saligao police have arrested two tourists namely Faiz and Arkan Shaikh, both hailing from Nashik, Maharashtra for allegedly assaulting a local car driver. The assault incident took place on Thursday, 06 February, when the driver of the car, Salvaram Salgaonkar, was traveling from Porvorim to Saligao when his vehicle collided with a Fascino scooter. Enraged, the scooter rider along with his fellow tourist friends brutally thrashed Salgaonkar in the mid road with helmets.
After the video which went viral on social media, a complaint was registered at Saligao police station. Saligao police immediately apprehended two tourists and brought them to the police station.
