PANJIM: The Goa Public Service Commission (GPSC) on Thursday announced pre-screening test for 15 posts of Junior Scale Officer (JSO) slated next month, vacancies of which were advertised in March 2021.
The pre-screening is scheduled on July 24 and July 25, 2021 while the venue and time of the examination will be communicated to 2,767 applicants via email and SMS. A repeat pre-screening test will be held on August 1 as the Commission intends to complete the recruitment process by September 15, 2021.
The GPSC, in March, had advertised 15 posts - 10 General, 1 SC, 3 OBC and 1 PwD. Among the total candidates, 2121 applicants are in General Category, 73 SC and 571 OBC while two have applied in the PwD category.
Seven candidates had cleared the final round for the JSOs post in February this year. These candidates were among 3002 aspirants who appeared for 22 posts advertised in 2020. With only seven out of 22 cracking the competitive exam, the GPSC in March 2021 advertised the balance posts.
