Public Grievance officers of departments sit in Panjim, instead of Margao

PANJIM: Although South Goa has been made into a district since 1987, the Deputy Director of Transport (South Goa) sits in Panjim.

Also all the public grievance officers of departments sit in Panjim, not Margao. In case, public of entire south Goa have any grievances, they have to go all the way to Panjim.

This was observed by Roland Martins of GoaCan at the District Consumer Protection Council, South Goa.

The issue of including more  departments in the forum and the issue of dog bites and safety of women in buses from harassment was also discussed at the meeting.
