Sancoale Villagers threaten to come out in large numbers against massive Bhutani project
SANCOALE: Villagers of Sancoale who are opposing the Bhutani project which boasts of 700 swimming pools, one for each bungalow, and which is allegedly proposed on an NDZ slope, have threatened to come out in large numbers to stop the project if government does not stop it. They appealed to Chief Minister Pramod Sawant to come and inspect the site.
Villagers have claimed that two private properties of locals were usurped into the project. The villagers questioned why the Bhutani contractors were bringing equipment at night and that they have to keep away late into the night to keep a watch on their illegalities.
They also alleged that when Goa Police are called by villagers that take hours but when the staff of Bhutani call them they arrive there within minutes. This clearly shows they are fully supporting Bhutani.
