MARGAO: There were 48 cases of land grabbing out of which only 4 cases have been charge-sheeted. Whereas in the remaining 44 cases settlements are being worked out by the government, Opposition MLA Vijai Sardesai has alleged.
In an interaction with media, Sardesai further said that he chanced upon the report of the Justice Jadhav Commission of Inquiry report, which was mistakenly uploaded on the internet. There are lots of things he would like to go to go through and reveal in future he said.
Sardesai said the biggest flaw in the land scam inquiry is what is land grabbing has not been defined. Second the Justice Jadhav Commissionhas observed that the Inquiry Officer have been shuffled time and again.
The Suleiman Khan case is a clear example of this, where land is sought to be transferred in an MLA’s name. I have got a copy of the Committee report which was mistakenly uploaded, Goa Forward Convenor Vijai Sardesai has declared. He promised to reveal other details of the report at a later date.
